FIB Benicassim has long been considered one of the finest overseas festival experiences for UK music fans, and in 2012 that reputation received formal recognition when the festival was named among the best overseas festivals of the year.
The 2012 edition was widely regarded as one of the strongest in the festival’s history, with a line-up that included Florence & the Machine, Bob Dylan, The Stone Roses and New Order - a genuinely extraordinary bill that would have been impressive at any festival in the world.
The recognition was welcome validation for a festival that had been working hard to maintain its position as the premier summer festival in Spain for British music fans. The combination of world-class music, exceptional weather, a beautiful coastal setting and a relaxed Spanish atmosphere creates an experience that is genuinely difficult to replicate elsewhere.
