FIB Benicassim 2023: Preview & Review

The latest from FIB Benicassim.

FIB Benicassim 2023 marked a significant moment for the festival as it continued its post-pandemic recovery, delivering a strong line-up and excellent atmosphere that reminded fans why the Spanish festival is such a special event.

Bastille headlined and delivered an emotionally charged performance, while Clean Bandit brought a more upbeat, pop-electronic energy. Franz Ferdinand showed they remain one of the most exciting live acts of their generation, and Zara Larsson drew one of the biggest crowds of the weekend.

Behind the headliners, The Wombats were a highlight for many festival-goers, their indie-pop anthems perfectly suited to the outdoor, late-night setting. Metronomy and Blossoms both delivered sets that confirmed their status as festival staples.

For 2023, the festival ran over its traditional four-day format and the campsite was well-managed, with noticeably improved facilities compared to some previous years. The beach access and Aquarama water park remained as popular as ever during the daytime hours.
