Getting from Barcelona to Benicassim

Barcelona El Prat Airport is 280 km north of Benicassim, making it a longer journey than from Valencia. However, Barcelona has the widest choice of UK flights, so it is often worth the extra transfer time if you can secure a significantly cheaper fare.

Many festival-goers choose to fly into Barcelona a day or two early and spend time in the city before heading south to Benicassim. The city is an exceptional place to visit and makes for a great start to a Spanish festival holiday.

The main route south follows the AP-7 / E-15 motorway, which runs along the coast through Tarragona before continuing to Benicassim. It is a beautiful drive but be aware that Spanish motorway tolls apply for much of the route.

Tarragona is roughly 1 hour south of Barcelona and around 90 minutes north of Benicassim. Many festival-goers break their journey here, spending a night before continuing to the festival. The Roman ruins are worth seeing if you have time.
