FIB has hosted some of the biggest names in music over more than three decades.
Major Lazer, Muse, The Chemical Brothers, Biffy Clyro, Massive Attack and The Maccabees delivered one of the most celebrated editions in recent memory. A Guardian reviewer noted it "ran like clockwork" compared to its British counterparts.
Tame Impala and Chase & Status headlined the 2014 edition (17–20 July), which also featured a rich supporting programme of indie and electronic acts that perfectly captured the spirit of FIB.
Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age and The Killers headlined what became one of FIB's most fondly remembered years. La Roux and dozens more made up a stellar supporting bill.
The Stone Roses and Bob Dylan sharing a bill at Benicassim was a genuinely extraordinary moment. New Order, The Horrors and Yuksek rounded out a bill that won the festival "Best Overseas Festival" at the UK Festival Awards.
