Update: Benicamp has now been approved by the local authority, this article was updated in June 2010 to reflect this information.
At Benicassim you have two options on where to pitch your tent for the duration of the festival:
- VillaCamp (formerly BeniCamp) – an extra 65 € to camp here!
- CampFIB – included in the price of your ticket
- BeniCAMP – included in the price of your ticket
Here’s the low down on the differences between the two camping areas:
CampFIB – included in the price of your ticket
CampFIB is free to everybody who has purchased a 4, 3 or 2 day pass. CampFIB has several bar areas, communal showers, toilets and first aid facilities. You will find the camping area right next to the main festival arena which means it does stay noisey all night (however pack yourself some earplugs and you’ll soon find yourself asleep should you be too tired to carry on partying). CampFIB has a surface area of 150.000 m2, this is 50% bigger than the site in 2009, mainly due to the decision to charge a premium to stay on VillaCamp (formerly BeniCamp). CampFIB is the only camping area where you can bring a caravan or camper van.
Opening times for CampFIB:
Access: sign-posts from Aquarama, the town’s waterpark
Open from: 10:00 AM on Tuesday July 13th
Closes: 12:00AM July 20th
Availability:
Ticket holders – are able to camp for 3 days over the follow periods:
– Full 3/4 day ticket holders – have access to the camping area the 9 days that it’s open.
– 2 day ticket holders (Thursday and Friday): from 10:00AM Thursday July 15th until 07:00 PM Saturday July 17th.
– 2 day ticket holders (Friday and Saturday): from 10:00AM Friday July 16th until 07:00 PM Sunday July 18th.
– 2 day ticket holders (Saturday and Sunday): from 10:00 AM Saturday July 17th until 07:00 PM Monday July 19th.
BeniCamp – included in the price of your ticket
BeniCamp is free (included in your ticket price). It is located close to Benicàssim’s town centre, and will be open as a camping area from Monday July 12th until Tuesday July 20th. BeniCamp is generally very popular due to its proximity to the town centre and beaches, it is much smaller than CampFIB and as such fills up very quickly.
Initially the organisers of Benicassim festival were struggling to get permission to run BeniCamp for the 2010 festival. However permission has now been granted! So party on!!
BenicCamp has virtually the same services as CampFib except it can’t accommodate campervans.
Opening times:
Access: from Benicàssim’s city centre
Open from: 10:00 AM on Monday July 12th
Closes: 12:00AM July 20th
Availability:

VillaCamp – costs 65 € to camp here
VillaCamp is Benicassim’s VIP Camping area, it was originally thought that VillaCamp would replace Benicamp, however the festival organisers have since been granted permission to open BeniCamp as usual (see above).
2010 is the first time that Benicassim organisers have decided to charge for a campsite. As far as we can tell the main benefits of VillaCamp are that you have access to individual showers and bathrooms. However, VillaCamp is also further from the festival arena which means that you’re more likely to get some sleep when you get back to your tent after a hard evening partying, however it also means that you have a bit of a trek to get back to your tent! The campsite also has a parking area, security, medical and bars (serving food and drink). VillaCamp is open from July 12th-20th. The full stay has a cost of 65 € per person.
Anybody who has bought a 4, 3 and 2 day ticket or a day pass – Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – is able to buy a VillaCamp ticket. However should the campsite reach capacity then tickets will be taken off sale as soon as this happens.
We’re keen to hear your thoughts on the new VillaCamp idea? Do you think it’s worth it or is 65 € a bit of a swizz for the sake of a private shower and toilet? – Give us your thoughts below. If you’re staying on VillaCamp send us your photos and we can show the world “how the other half live”. Also, we’re aware that BeniCamp has always been really popular amongst regular festival goers looking for somewhere a bit quieter than the CampFIB site – are you glad to see confirmation that it’s open for this year’s festival?
Richard says

Anyone able to give me the low down on shade between the two sites?
Its got me baffled as to whether there are two for the punters and a third that you have to pay for or just one major one now and the other you pay for.
Shade will make or break my bones and have to decide whether or not to buy tarp…
Cheers team, see you there

Hello all-
I’m travelling to Beni from England with my boyfriend, brother & his girlfriend in a camper-van…. does anyone know what the camping arrangements have been for camper-vans in the past? There is still no info on the official site. There’s only room for my boyfriend & I in the van, so brother will be camping- will we be allowed on the same site?
Any info would be great 🙂

The logo states 2009 dates and I have already vbeen stumped by buying tickets from the dodgy Beniscassim site and then again from ticketmaster and don’t want to get stumped again for this one…?
Loz says
Is villacamp closer to the beach then? does anyone know how far away it is from it?
Rachel says
Awwww cheers Laura that’s a huge relief I was planning to go to the beach party too.
Laura says
Hey Rachel,

Now this camping bollocks has happened im not quite sure where we’ll camp as they were going to be camping at the villa one but now you have to pay im not too sure but i’ll keep you informed.
cass says
On the official site it states they have three camp sites, the two free ones, benicamp and camp fib and the vip one as well?
Lyle says
Hi, Just wondering if its free to park a campervan in the CampFIB or do you have to pay extra?
Rachel says
I had a look on there, the transfer is at 11am but I Iand at 6pm. I found a link through this site to mediteraneo but the transfers are 80 euros. But I need to get there somehow. See you all there with or without my friend
The_Gringo says
Rachel – get an Eufest.com coach. They are easy and convenient. That sucks about your mate. There was meant to be a few of us but now we are down to two. Get yourself along to the beach party on the Tuesday night and i’m sure you’ll get an adopted family for the week!
rachel says
It’s my first time this year, was supposed to be going with a friend but they can’t afford it now but I’ve paid for my ticket and flights now. So it looks like I’m going on my own now. Any advice. Also i was supposed to be getting a hire car from Alicante with my friend who drives. With her looking like she’s not going now I’ve been looking at coaches and trains but I’m having no luck. Is anyone arriving at Alicante around 6pm on tuesday that could share a hire car or any method of getting there that would make it cheaper.
kareem says
Yes there are loads of shops that offer tents, camping equipment etc and if you read my post before there is a supermarket and there are other places to eat and drink…
Bianca says
Is there anywhere to hire some camping gear like tents, sleeping bags, torches etc. I’m coming from Australia and don’t want to carry too much! Also are there shops for food and drink?
kareem says
theres a couple of bars and a few little shops but we just bought our booze from the supermarket…
Matt says
Does anybody know if you ahve to pay/reserve the lockers at the festival?
And if their are any cash machines?
Keith B says
sounds amense is there annywhere near the beach to buy your booze from or do u have to lug a load of booze round with you for the night :/
kareem says

Keith B says
Beach party sounds good!! can u post the facebook link so i can have a look please 😀
The_Gringo says
There’s a massive beach party for the Tuesday night being organised on Facebook. Some boy has got a mint set of speakers and everything. Hope to see you all there!
kareem says
@ James lots of people come on different days and different times you shouldn’t worry
@ Kate you can defo camp form those dates but i wouldn’t recommend staying till the 20th its completely dead
James says
if i arrive on thursday the 15th. do you reckon CampFIB will be full up? I dont wanna get there and find they dont have room for me
Kate says
Can you definitely camp on CampFIB from the 12th-20th. Why not just have private showers that you have to pay for rather than another campsite… as its really only the showers that are different. oh and the parking but you could have that still and charge like 10Euros or something??!!
kareem says
yes there are lockers near the entrance
matt says
Does anybody know if there are lockers to put valuables in on the campsite?
kareem says
mate you won’t be saying that after a couple of days…
Will Hick says
who needs sleep! PARTY! WOO
Suzanne says
Ridiculous!!!
Marcus says
We bought two Villa Camp tickets at the weekend. What sold it was the parking, we’re driving down and having parking near to the campsite would be a major bonus. Also hoping:
– That less people will be willing to pay for a campsite so there’ll be more space available.
– That it is the campsite nearer the beach with more trees to provide shade
– That facilities will be better and there’ll be less queing for washing, showers etc.
Obviously these are a lot of things to take on trust. I’ll be more likely to complain if I’ve paid 130 euros for two of us and the facilities aren’t much improvement over a normal festival campsite and the car park’s miles away.
I think it would be good if the organisers could Fes up about where it is (especially the car park, it would be nice to know where to head for when we reach Benicassim on Tuesday!)
Dave says
So it is the campsite furthest away from the festival that they are now charging for then? This is my third time at benicassim and I’ll be arriving on the wednesday lunchtime. The is not a chance I’ll be paying 65 euro for camping spot when ive already shelled out £170 for a ticket.Talk about screwing over the people who over the years have put money into this festival, told others about this festival therefore adding to what this festival has become.
kareem says
yes it is
G says
Will CampFIB be opened fromt he 12th-20th aswell?
The_Gringo says
Its a joke that they charge for something that has been free up to now. Has it been confirmed that it is the same place? I don’t like the way they’ve been so underhand and cagey about it. Pay extra but we won’t show you where it is. I thought they claimed to have closed the site due to health and safety which was a bare faced lie. They don’t even have the map up on the website anymore. Ridiculous.
