Ok, so you’ve flown into Barcelona from the UK, here follows how to get yourself to Benicassim and the glorious sun, sea, sand and festivities that come with it, you can travel by either car or train:
Car
Barcelona is about 280km from Benicassim, similar to the drive from Alicante this works out at a little over 2.5 hours (when driving at a sensible speed). I’ve personally never done this drive so would appreciate any comments/suggestions from any of you that have. It does look like a simple drive, with the majority of the route following the E-15 in a straight line from Barca. It also looks like there may be some interesting places to stop off and sample, for example the historic city of Tarragona is within an hour of Barcelona (I’m guessing this place is much more picturesque than Benidorm – not that Benidorm is all bad!). Train
In a similar vein to Alicante the airport in Barcelona is about 10km from the city centre and as such within easy reach of the city’s main train station. As a guide one way tickets between Alicante and Benicassim in 2009 cost about 30EUR (standard class) or 45EUR (first class), we’d expect tickets to cost about the same from Barcelona – it’s a similar length journey. I had to buy a first class ticket as the standards had sold out by the time I got around to buying so be warned! View train prices for Barca to Beni.

We’re getting a return train from Benicassim to Barcelona and the ticket says ‘Benicasim’…is that exactly the same as the spelling with double ‘s’? I presume it is the little platform ‘station’ about 15 minutes away from the festival site..?
Any help will be much appreciated 🙂

Hiya
Trying to decide where to fly into, thinking Barcelona but trying to decide what time and what airports based on what transfer to get to Benicassim town – staying in an apartment. Its so confusing!
Does anyone know what the train times are like or when they go on sale?
I found bus information but it doesnt say where the buses leave from (on eufest.com) and I can’t be sure where the coaches go from, which airport or is it the city?!
Any help would be great!!
Thanks
Siobhan

Hey,
Its my first year going to Beni, cud someone advise me would it be better for me to book a flight to Reus or Barcelona. I am aware that Reus is closer, but both are the same price, and maybe im thinking its easier to get buses/trains from Barcelona!

Hi guys,
I realise i must seem a complete idiot but im flying into barcelona on the 14th at 21:50, later than my friends and was hoping to get the train to beni or oropesa. I have however just realised there are no trains at this time and am screwed. The coach transfer has apparently gone past the ooking deadline. Please please cud someone offer me some advice?

well on Google maps it says it takes 1hr 48mins to get there by car so I’m guessing about 2/2.5 hours
